My dear daugther, Mavi, had now journeyed through fourteen years of life. I deemed it absolutely critical, imperative even, to illustrate to her that her father remains undeterred, unyielding against the creeping malaise of dystopia.
I sought to embody resilience, crossing myriads of national borders to meet her, a journey made necissary by our governments who have assumed the liberty to halt one’s wings of flight if one opts not to partake in a medical experiment painted with the hues of joviality.
Thus, I took to the less airy paths, opting instead for the terrestrial journey by motorcar. A grand undertaking it proved to be, particularly given the labyrinth of land borders dotting the Balkan landscape. Upon reaching Albania, a border guard welcomed me with a cheery and somewhat sardonic, “Greetings, Mr. Benders. What brings you to the time of COVID-19?” I returned his joviality with equal measure, gesturing towards my mobile phone, and proceeded onwards, undeterred.
Earlier, however, whilst traversing the intricate landscapes of Slovenia, we found ourselves feeling akin to pursued livestock. Driven by a sense of urgency, we had journeyed the entire day in an attempt to bypass an unwelcome stop in the draconian confines of Austria. With calculated foresight, I had booked lodgings in a place that aligned precisely with the limits of our endurance, the boundary of our capability to continue behind the wheel.
Upon our arrival, however, the hotel’s requirements proved to be a new barrier. Not only did they demand a ‘corona pass’, but also refused to accommodate us without such a document. Deprived of a place to rest, I was left with no choice but to continue our journey to Croatia, for it seemed that this backwards nation had transformed into a mere extension of Austria’s rigid regulation.
Thus, we embarked upon nocturnal passages, weaving through mountainous pathways into Croatia, fatigue etching deep lines in our spirits. We ventured forth in the hope that the ‘rules’ within these borders were somewhat less stringent, somewhat more compassionate.
The fact that we found ourselves feeling like hunted animals, on the run, not from any natural predator, but from bureaucratic constraints, paints a peculiar picture of the current state of humanity.
The law of hospitality
It constitutes a grave violation of an unwritten law of hospitality: one must offer shelter to the weary traveller. By compelling us to continue our journey – though we were well-equipped with tests to validate our health status on the spot – their refusal to consider anything short of a corona pass was not only an affront to us but a threat to all on the road. Fatigue, after all, is a notorious contributor to misfortune on the highways.
Unless one has personally encountered such an experience – for instance, if you’ve been complacent enough to let governmental colour codes dictate your movements – it may be challenging to comprehend the profound extent to which these events encroach upon one’s personal rights.
The Surrealism of Suspended Liberties
The bizarre element in our experience becomes unmistakable when one considers the odd inversion of values it reveals. The traditional concept of hospitality – a universal principle practised across cultures, predating any written laws – was undermined. An innkeeper refusing shelter to a wayfarer due to bureaucratic mandates reflects a puzzling alteration of societal norms.
Moreover, it is peculiar that safety, a word ubiquitously used to justify these stringent measures, was ironically compromised in our circumstances. By enforcing a requirement that led to exhausted travellers continuing their journey, the potential for accidents was undeniably increased. Here, we see the surreal irony of pursuing one form of safety while creating a clear risk in another context.
What deepens the strangeness of these experiences is the insidious nature of this infringement on personal rights. It is a subtle shift, hidden beneath the mask of collective safety, hardly noticeable unless one finds oneself directly in its path. It results in a bizarre dichotomy – the apparent safety promised by the authorities and the real jeopardy one experiences, not only infringing on the freedom of movement but also threatening physical safety.
To have been denied the joy of my daughter’s presence for a span of two years, courtesy of governing authorities, is a reality that leaves a bitter taste. Yet, it seems the right to frustrate is theirs to bear. It is as though our legal structures have fallen into a deep, cavernous disarray – as was recently articulated in an article highlighting a courtroom declaration. The court stated that ‘since the debacle of the toeslagen crisis,’ it had become evident that the ‘government’s integrity may not be unswerving.’
Such a revelation provoked a singular thought within me: the sheer incompetence on display. The origin of trust should never be from an inescapably corrupt system. To even suggest so is indicative of a profound moral rot. As such, the inevitable conclusion becomes clear: there is a pressing need to reassess, reimagine, and reinvent the system, this time taking inspiration from the model of the Trias Politica.
Three Ping-Pong Balls
To grasp the factors leading to the human brain’s reduction by no less than the volume of three ping-pong balls over the past 3000 years, one would benefit from reading my book, Amanita Muscaria – The Book of the Empress. Observing the government sign contracts with Big Pharma, effectively absolving them of all responsibility for this medical experiment, it becomes alarming to consider that the fourth ping-pong ball’s reduction may be imminent. No rational individual would willingly participate in a medical experiment for which the manufacturer bears no responsibility. Thus, it becomes startlingly apparent that rational individuals are becoming a rarity in our society.
What makes this narrative undeniably bizarre is the stark contradiction between human progress and the concurrent erosion of rational thinking. The development of advanced medicines and health technologies should ideally be accompanied by enlightened decisions and enhanced accountability. However, the reality we are faced with is a disconcerting paradox.
This oddity is exemplified in the chilling spectacle of governments willingly entering contracts that exempt pharmaceutical giants from any responsibility for their experiments. The absurdity deepens when we consider the willingness of ordinary individuals to participate in these very experiments, seemingly oblivious to the complete lack of manufacturer accountability.
The illustration of the brain shrinking by the volume of ping-pong balls adds a tangible, if somewhat whimsical, measure to the serious concern about humanity’s intellectual regression. It is as if the very substance of our wisdom is evaporating, one ping-pong ball at a time. This metaphor becomes a symbol for the bizarre state of affairs in which our society finds itself, where rationality is vanishing as quickly as these imagined spheres.
Ultimately, the revelation that rational thinkers are becoming an endangered species in our society is a disturbing testament to the absurdity of the situation. In an age where knowledge is abundant and access to information is at our fingertips, the declining presence of rationality is not just bizarre; it’s a call for introspection and action. We are left to question: Are we on the precipice of losing the fourth ping-pong ball?
One political thing I did in the corona period was translate a letter of the French writer and philosopher Mehdi Belhaj Kacem, a letter he wrote to the Mayor of his town. Mehdi is an important writer and philosopher, and the letter struck me as very relevant, so let me reproduce it once more since I want to translate these works into German and Turkish as well:
Dear Mayor of Turenne, Yves Gary,
A friend of mine sent me your letter last night (see below), entitled ʻA Word from the Mayorʼ, which made me laugh when I read it. Apparently Iʼm not the only one, because the next morning I noticed your letter circulating on the networks. It is therefore my duty to inform you that you are already the laughing stock of hundreds of thousands of French people.
First of all, let me introduce myself. I have lived in Turenne for almost twenty-five years, in a house that is family heritage. I am a writer and philosopher by profession, and I have published over thirty books, many of which with major publishers (Gallimard, Grasset, Fayard, Stock…). My third novel, Vies et morts d’Irène Lepic, written at the age of 21, is today considered by thousands to be one of the best novels of the 1990s. Michel Houellebecq said, in front of an audience of contemporary art VIPs, that I am the only writer of his generation who is as good as he is. I was the first philosopher who, at the age of 39, was entitled to a colloquium at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de la rue dʼUlm, which, over the last two centuries, has produced 90% of the great philosophers of France, even though I am a complete autodidact. Alain Badiou presented me publicly fifteen years ago as one of the two most gifted philosophers of my generation, and the internationally renowned anthropologist David Graeber, who died prematurely in Venice last year, always said that I was the greatest living philosopher, and many people think the same. A great American poet, Steve Light, wrote that never before in the history of philosophy has there been such a strong link between systematic conceptual insights and self-taught theory. I could go on for pages. As the great whistle-blower Dr Roger Hodkinson put it, and you could learn from him: ʻIʼm proud of my damn C.V.ʼ
So I apologise for patting myself on the back like that; it’s not very elegant. But when I talk to people like you, I feel obliged to do so, so that my interlocutor understands that he is not exactly dealing with what people call a ʻJan Dumblerʼ. In your letter, you speak of your ʻcompetenceʼ without telling us anything more about it (to put it euphemistically); I am therefore obliged, before entering into discussion with people like you, to bring out my ʻadle titlesʼ in this respect, namely my abilities of analysis and reflection which all competent people will recognise in due course.
Reading your letter, one wonders first of all what your ʻskillʼ is. If it is based on opening the big newspapers, listening to France-here or France-there, or watching BFMTV or France 2, you are in big trouble. In 2021, you can’t get information that way, you have to go to the source; thinking you learn something by consuming the mass media is like a Neanderthal thinking he is well informed when the Cro-magnons appear, or like fighting with a bat when firearms have just been invented.
This is the most plausible explanation: for more than a year and a half, the majority of our fellow citizens have been cut off from all their cognitive faculties by the incessant propaganda that floods them through the mass media, which are subsidised by the state and owned by the eight richest families in France. The function of these media has long ceased to be to inform the people, but simply to be the mouthpiece of the government. So all the considerations you give to your audience are based on the credibility you give to what these media say. In short, you assume that they have been telling the truth for a year and a half. But the opposite is true. This government has lied about everything. This government is nothing but a tool in the service of supranational institutions like the WHO, or multinationals like Pfizer. Did you know that the President of our Republic, while still working for the Rothschild bank, negotiated a ten billion dollar contract between Nestlé and… Pfizer (did you say offshore account)? Did you know that his wife had a lot of shares in the same company? Did you know that it was Pfizer that fed Cahuzacʼs Swiss account, and probably that of many members of the Socialist Party, the party that wants to force us into mandatory vaccination? Did you know that Pfizer is the most corrupt and convicted pharmaceutical company of all time (with over forty adverse judgments, and a total of over five billion dollars in damages paid)?
You begin your letter by saying that this spring we hoped that Covid 19 would, if you will pardon the expression, take our minds off things a little. You said that there had been a fourth wave. Unfortunately, I have to disappoint you: there was no fourth wave, there was no third wave, no second wave and no first wave; and, in fact, there has never been a ‘pandemic’ except in a few sick minds, especially those running the WHO, probably the most criminal political organisation of all time.
There has been no ʻpandemicʼ, and the official figures confirm it. Type ʻcovid deathsʼ into Google, and you will come across a figure of about five million people, i.e. about 0.04 per cent of the worldʼs population, which is a pittance. It is all the more ridiculous when you know the average age of the victims: 84 years. These are people who had already largely exceeded their life expectancy. I say ʻlargely,ʼ because in our western countries (France, Italy, etc.) life expectancy is 82 years, and therefore the percentage was higher with us (0.14/0.15 per cent) than in many poorer countries, where life expectancy is obviously much lower.
This is just to make you realise that many, starting with the centralised mass media, and you following in its footsteps, have been ʻreasoningʼ for the past year and a half on the basis of a pure and simple semantic chimera: ʻThere is a devastating virus that is affecting the entire planet and killing 0.04 per cent of the worldʼs population, mainly people who have already far exceeded their life expectancy. This is literally a meaningless sentence, and yet it is the basis for all the ʻrhetoricʼ of the kind you use in your letter, and with which we have been harassed for over a year and a half now. Every first-year philosophy student knows that if the premise is false, so is the rest of the argument.
The case is actually much worse, and in fact amounts to the greatest and most serious mass political manipulation that has ever taken place in our history. Again, the official documents confirm this. I refer you to this link: https://bit.ly/3GETZ5t
This is Santé Publique France’s detailed report on the Covid crisis between March 2020 and March 2021. I recommend you read all 68 pages, but if you don’t have enough time, you can just go to page 43. There you will find the following staggering figure: of the approximately 100 000 alleged deaths from Covid-19, only 14471 people actually died from Covid alone. The others actually died from something else: cancer, leukaemia, diabetes, heart failure, etc. So: the 0.04% death rate from the terrible virus is in reality closer to 0.004%: as good as nothing. Because the official figures from other countries say exactly the same thing: the CDC in the United States, for example, has also found that of all the officially reported deaths from Covid-19, only 6 per cent were ʻwithout comorbiditiesʼ, i.e. 94 per cent of these people died from something else entirely.
So, in terms of ʻskillʼ and argumentative rigour, it is very wrong of you to compare the current situation to that of diphtheria, tuberculosis, measles or polio: these diseases were in fact hugely deadly; Covid-19 in reality kills almost no one, but strikes people who had exceeded their life expectancy anyway.
Then you say, on these false grounds, that only mass vaccination will lead to ʻgroup immunityʼ (a concept that is scientifically irrelevant, as anyone with any real expertise knows). Unfortunately for you, all countries that have mass vaccinated, such as Israel or Gibraltar, have seen their death rates rise vertically, as well as their infection rates (the only solution? A third dose, after the first two worked so well! And a fourth, and a fifth, and a sixth…). So you are mistaken when you say that only mass vaccination will get us out of the pandemic: firstly, there never has been a pandemic, except a pandemic of lies, terror, stupidity and manipulation; secondly, the ʻvaccines,ʼ which do not even deserve the name, are not only ineffective, but also dangerous. I shall demonstrate this below, with official figures, against your bravura denials on the subject.
You ask, proving that your eyes did not see Covid properly: ʻHow can we continue to talk seriously about an experimental vaccine, when it has been administered to almost half the world’s population, with little or no side effects?ʼ Well, how indeed? It is very simple: by reading what the people from Astrazeneca, Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson themselves write on their respective websites: that the vaccines are in phase 3 (usually that of laboratory rats), and that these experiments will end in 2022 or 2023. The Moderna people even go so far as to write: ʻOur vaccine is a somatic control system, which aims to hack into your biological functions,ʼ sic. The fact that half of the worldʼs population has been vaccinated, mostly under blackmail and barely avoided coercion, prevents you from realising the terrible evidence: we are indeed witnessing the most gigantic medical experiment ever conducted on mankind. Sooner or later, the real purpose of these experiments will become clear to your enlightened eyes. As the French comedian Coluche said, ʻIt is not because many are wrong that they are right.ʼ
But the sentence in your letter that made me laugh the most was the one that says, ʻWith few or no side effects.ʼ Oh yes? Again, you just have to go by the official figures and nothing else. Eudravigilance, the European website for vigilance of the pharmaceutical industry, came up with the following figures at the beginning of October: 27 222 deaths, almost 2 300 000 adverse reactions, half of which were serious (and let’s be clear, serious means, in the spirit of vigilance of the pharmaceutical industry, ‘crippled for life’). The adverb in your sentence takes on its full meaning in the light of these duly obtained figures… did you say ʻcompetenceʼ?
But thatʼs not all. For all the specialists in the field of vigilance with regard to the pharmaceutical industry will tell you that only 1 to 10 per cent of adverse reactions are actually reported, so that you have to multiply the officially obtained figures by at least ten to get closer to the truth. We therefore have reason to believe that, in the countries of the EU (with the exception, of course, of England, where the official figures are also frightening), there are at least 270 000 deaths and 21 million people disabled for life. In other words, there have been far more victims of the vaccines in Europe alone than there have been of that wretched Covid-19 in the whole world. I would like to refer you to this link, a short video I made with a friend about that other criminal organisation, the Order of Physicians, which persecutes doctors who dare to treat their patients and tell the truth about what has happened to us over the last year and a half: https://firstname.lastname@example.org:8/t_file6034928538396658340:1
But, by the way, what exactly are these side effects? As the very brave Dr Ochs says, the risk from the vaccine is 40 times higher for people under 50 than Covid-19 itself. What about our teenagers, who since the beginning of the school year have been massively vaccinated against a disease for which they are not at any risk? What about our children, who are about to be vaccinated against this same disease (the same Dr Ochs draws the obvious conclusion: ʻinfanticideʼ)? Are you sure about your adverb? Isnʼt there a little flea somewhere that starts to tickle your ear?
Because these side effects are as follows: strokes; myocarditis (especially in adolescents and teenagers, which is highly remarkable); pericarditis; thrombosis; severe neurological disorders; severe gastrointestinal disorders; Bellʼs palsy; Guillain-Barré syndrome; violent convulsions; miscarriages (one in eight…. I could send you mile-long lists of top sportsmen and women who have died from heart complications or whose careers have been prematurely ended by vaccinations. I don’t know how it is possible that you have not heard about the ʻweirdʼ phenomenon reported in all the regional newspapers: the unusual number of teenagers who have heart attacks while playing high school sports.
But even if I remove myself from the extraordinary official data, and just look around me, where enthusiasm for the ʻvaccineʼ is not the order of the day, I have observed the following: a 42-year-old man, father of three children, who died of cardiac arrest after vaccination; a 25-year-old soldier, an athlete who did not smoke or drink, who suffered a stroke after vaccination and whose career is over; a woman in her sixties, who developed very severe and persistent asthma since vaccination; a friend who suffered from very painful viral diarrhoea after vaccination. But the most systematic and widespread side effect, which has given rise to countless testimonies on social networks, is the serious disruption of the menstrual cycle in young women and teenagers. I spoke to a 25-year-old woman (not vaccinated), who confirmed that all her friends who had been vaccinated had serious menstrual problems. And I also spoke to a teenage girl (not vaccinated) who told me that all her vaccinated friends had major problems with their ʻragnagnas,ʼ as she calls it in her flowery language. In countries where people have started to vaccinate children, such as the United States, there are reports of vaginal bleeding in young girls, or even in female infants (and conversely, there are many reports of women who have been in menopause for years … and have started to menstruate again). You don’t have to be Madame Irma to know what the consequences, in terms of fertility, will be for a whole generation. I am sure you have sons and/or daughters, maybe even grandchildren. I hope your vaccination enthusiasm will stop in time to save your offspring. And since you have such blind faith in the ʻvaccinesʼ and are therefore very likely to have been vaccinated, why not do the following tests? A d-dimer test (which measures how many micro-blood clots you have in your blood); a serological test (to see how your immune system is doing); and an electromagnetism test (yes, yes, this is not a ʻcomplot thesisʼ: many scientific studies have shown that vaccinated people have become ʻmagneticʼ). I repeat: if you are so convinced of these ʻvaccines,ʼ why donʼt you do these three tests? But Iʼd like to be honest with you: itʼs almost impossible that you wonʼt be in for a very unpleasant surprise if you do all three…
So, for those of you who are not afraid to peddle the enormities of the media and of a criminal, lying, corrupt government, let me warn you that I have my heart on my sleeve. Dr Michael Yeadon, none other than the former deputy director of Pfizer, and a top scientist (in biology), has been talking about ʻWorld War IIIʼ for a year and a half; I coined the phrase ʻFirst Global Civil Warʼ eight months ago in an interview with the Times of Israel, which has since been picked up by hundreds of thousands of people; and for a few months now I have been using the phrase ʻunconventional genocide,ʼ just as we talk about ʻunconventional warfareʼ. That is, there is no longer any need for machine guns, gas chambers or machetes; all that is needed is the imposition of lockdowns, mouth caps and ʻvaccinesʼ. Lockdowns have already destroyed the lives of billions of people around the world (including that of someone very close to me who committed suicide because of the first lockdown), even though they have provided no demonstrable health benefits; Face masks, which are ineffective and toxic when worn for too long, have already traumatised a whole generation of children and adolescents; finally, vaccines have already claimed untold millions more victims worldwide than the wretched, and in reality almost harmless, virus they are supposed to combat.
Genocide, yes, and perhaps the greatest of all time, insofar as – if the ʻvaccineʼ were found to have the function of altering the human genome – it would not only be the greatest in quantity, but also in quality: it would be the most literal genocide that has ever taken place. Am I exaggerating? Then why do many Holocaust survivors (Velma Sharav, Rabbi Hillel Handler, Hagar Schafrir, Sorin Shapira, Mascha Orel, Morry Krispijn, Shimon Yanowitz, Hila Moscovich, Tamir Turgal, Amira Segal, Jacqueline Ingehoes, Andrea Dresher, Edgar Siemund, etc.) say the same thing as I do, as do millions of French people and hundreds of millions of other people around the world?
Your letter ends, no doubt to caress your pretty soul, with the usual compliments to the health workers. Why do you not have a word to say about the 350 000 of them who, since 15 September, have lost their jobs, without benefits or compensation, who have, in short, literally been thrown out onto the street, on the pretext that they refused to be vaccinated? How can you, without being ashamed, congratulate yourself on what the French public health service is doing when, quite deliberately, it is being dismantled and destroyed piece by piece (which, in reality, began decades ago)?
So let me make it clear what you are: ʻdamaging and irresponsibleʼ are certainly not whistleblowers like me, who, with the great German lawyer Reiner Fuellmich, are exposing ʻthe greatest crime against humanity ever committedʼ, but thoughtless and uninformed people like you. Show humility, admit you were wrong (because you were wrong), apologise, open your eyes: these are just some of the things you could do to avoid going down in history as a descendant of the French politicians who formed the Vichy government during the German occupation of 1939-45: what is happening now is homothetic in every way to what happened then, except that it is happening on a much larger scale now (so say all the survivors of the Shoah I mentioned above). Of the two of us, I am the one who is taking full responsibility, risking my reputation and perhaps my life to wake up as many people as possible to the reality of what is happening on a global scale, of which this letter only highlights a small piece of the iceberg. You should know that I am so appalled by the situation we have witnessed in the world over the past two years that I spend literally twelve hours a day informing myself and documenting the situation. So if you want to wake up from your ʻdogmatic sleepʼ, as Kant used to say, I am entirely at your disposal: I live only a hundred metres from the town hall.
P.S.: I am broke at the moment, but in ten days I shall have hundreds of copies of this letter printed and distributed in the village. Some of my videos have had more than five hundred thousand views each on social networks, so wake up before I give you too much attention, because your letter has unwittingly made you a star on those networks, probably in your complete ignorance. I will not hesitate to wake you up completely and make Turenne the village of Asterix, which resists the Roman Empire … you will see that this comparison is far from exaggerated …
Here is the letter from the mayor:
After springtime hopes of a gradual but rapid return to a life without Covid-19, this disease does not seem to have given up.
Unfortunately, the fourth wave has arrived and is sweeping across the country at a very fast pace, casting a shadow over the summer period when many of us thought we could forget over a year of difficulties and just live or live normally again.
We will have to wait a little longer. And perhaps much longer, as long as the anti-vaxxers and those who are ʻagainst everythingʼ can continue to spread their harmful and irresponsible messages.
The vaccine and the ability to create collective immunity through a vaccination rate in the order of 80-90% of the adult population is the only way to end this pandemic. Anything else is nonsense.
How could childhood diseases such as smallpox, diphtheria, tuberculosis, measles or, closer to home, polio, which swept through our population not so long ago, have been eradicated without vaccination?
How can we continue to talk seriously about an experimental vaccine, when it has already been administered to half the world’s population, with little or no side effects?
The comparison is a bold one, I freely admit, but how can we not think of the record abstention rate in recent departmental and regional elections, even though this trend has been declining for some time?
Lack of knowledge about the powers of these institutions, ignorance of the issues at stake in these elections, or loss of confidence in the elected officials, etc., all these are poor excuses.
All this is a poor alibi, for how is it to be explained that citizens who say they do not know anything on Sunday know perfectly well to whom they should turn on Monday morning to assert their rights?
No, the answer lies elsewhere: rather, it is the materialisation of a slow but profound transformation of our society towards all-consuming individualism, at the expense of a civic-mindedness that is now obsolete.
Who cares about the other in an age of anonymity, which allows all sorts of absurdities to be spouted on social networks with impunity, in an age of the reign of the selfie, which has glorified the triumphant self?
That institutions must evolve to take better account of technological developments and adapt to changes in human behaviour is clear. But they cannot be effective without a new level of citizen involvement.
Yet the worst is never certain, is it? By the end of September, more than 80% of the French population had been vaccinated, all health personnel are still at work and continue to do an admirable job, and in everyday life the altruistic behaviour of many of our fellow citizens gives cause for optimism.
Yves Gary, Mayor of Turenne
