The Separation of Author and State

Posted on July 22, 2024July 22, 2024 by admin

This article is based on this Dutch article of Martijn Benders     Alright, so this map represents the Netherlands as a devil from a box, a so-called ‘Jack in the Box,’ which is actually more of a British invention, but this Italian saw the British chiefly as merchants. Germans were primarily seen as grain…

The Guild of Dutch Writers

Posted on July 21, 2024 by admin

This article is based on this Dutch article of Martijn Benders. Something else striking: how is it that I am the first Dutch writer to have anything to say about this matter? I will continue with this question tomorrow. On 9/11, no Dutch writer had anything to say. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Silence….

The Gitane Hollandaise

Posted on July 20, 2024July 20, 2024 by admin

This article is based on this Dutch article of Martijn Benders I present: The Gitane Hollandaise: Veronique thinks Houellebecq is like a male bouqette novel author. She returned the book after reading about thirty pages. I kept reading, and from the middle to the end, you have to wade through an endless series of musings…

A police state fattened with Dutch frying fat

…the land of the hollow earth was closer than the Nazis thought… This article is based on this dutch article of Martijn Benders But for the details about that, you’ll need to read my upcoming book. Let me first continue discussing how the concealment of cigarette sponsorship by Houellebecq marked the beginning of a new…

A Delectably Depraved Loaf

Posted on July 18, 2024 by admin

This article is based on this Dutch article of Martijn Benders The donut—a French invention co-opted by American police officers. At least, that’s the story we’ve all heard. Determined to get the facts straight, I did some checking. It turns out the donut has a convoluted history, with the Dutch taking precedence over the French….

The Representational Movement of All Living Things

Posted on July 17, 2024 by admin

This article is based on this dutch article of Martijn Benders We circle around the Arc de Triomphe, and Véronique laughs manically, caught in an epiphanic visit to her own youth. Back then, she would regularly zip around this donut, a dim-witted child by her side, constantly biting her. I keep seeing the same police…

Accelerated Integration of A.I. to Safeguard the Arts

This article is based on this Dutch article of Martijn Benders Ilonka van Bercken – what an optimistic woman she must be to still dare to ask for a “vision” from something that bears the creepy name “The Fund for Cultural Participation.” Vision, what kind of elitist nonsense is that? But I am a bit…

Remote-controlled people with their own opinion

This article is based on this Dutch article of Martijn Benders: Aangestuurde mensen met een eigen mening Well, well, the cabinet isn’t even three days inaugurated, and we already see Schoof sitting with the bosses in Washington, beaming with pride. The 51st state of the US, business as usual. Occasionally, there are people who scoff…

Foucault and the Fire-Earth Bees

Posted on July 8, 2024 by admin

This article is based on this Dutch article of Martijn Benders Nietzsche, Baudrillard, and Foucault are my main sources of inspiration in philosophy. Foucault is one of the few philosophers who recognized that the supposedly neutral institutions in our societies are the largest problem because their so-called neutrality is anything but neutral. For this reason,…

All Is Shrouded in Secrecy!

This article is based on this dutch article of Martijn Benders ## It’s All a Secret! Alright, now we know that too. It was already clear, just like with that pipeline, because in criminology, you always look first at who might have a motive for a particular act. And you can tell me anything, but…

The Elevated Density of My Heartfelt Verses

This article is based on this Dutch article by Martijn Benders In the past six months, I’ve managed to gather 130 subscribers on YouTube with my personal account. Yesterday, I investigated how many subscribers people I know, who’ve been acting like celebrities their entire lives online, actually have: about the same number. Does this mean…

This article is based on this Dutch article of Martijn Benders Oh, indeed, you would almost feel sorry for the man. Who came up with the idea to put this dark-clad figurehead of our false sense of security on the throne? https://www.threads.net/@maartenhopman/post/C9A6o5Mo0RB The man is completely unsuitable for that position. Look how even the door…

Castles Get Kicked in the Bricks each Summer

Let’s face it: some backpacks just carry your stuff. This one tells your entire life philosophy in one ridiculous, multilingual joke. Imagine strolling into a museum, a bus stop, or your ex's new wedding—with a bag that declares, in ten languages, that castles are always the losers of summer.

Why? Because deep down, you know:

  • Tourists always win.
  • History has a sense of humor.
  • And you, my friend, are not carrying your lunch in just any nylon sack—you’re carrying it in a medieval meltdown on your shoulders.

This backpack says:

  • “I’ve been to four castles, hated three, and got kicked out of one for asking where the dragons were.”
  • “I appreciate heritage sites, but I also think they could use a bit more slapstick.”
  • “I’m cute, I’m moopish, and I will absolutely picnic on your parapet.”

It’s absurd.
It’s philosophical.
It holds snacks.

In short, it’s not just a backpack—it’s a mobile monument to glorious collapse.

And honestly? That’s what summer’s all about.

Philosophy thirts

Feeling surveilled? Alienated by modernity? Accidentally started explaining biopolitics at brunch again? Then it’s time to proudly declare your loyalties (and your exhaustion) with our iconic “I’m with Fuckold” shirt.

This tee is for those who’ve:

  • Said “power is everywhere” in a non-BDSM context.
  • Tried to explain Discipline and Punish to their cat.
  • Secretly suspect the panopticon is just their neighbour with binoculars.

Wearing this shirt is a cry of love, rebellion, and post-structural despair. It says:
“Yes, I’ve read Foucault. No, I will not be okay.”

Stay tuned for more philosophical shirts and backpacks, as we at Benders are working on an entire collection that will make even the ghost of Hegel raise an eyebrow.
